A 2025 Review From Gavin

As I look back on 2025, it’s impossible not to feel a massive sense of pride for what we have achieved as a team.

This year has been one of the biggest periods of change since Parallel began. It’s been a year full of growth, challenges, learning, and some significant milestones that will shape the business for years to come.

When you’re constantly moving at speed, you rarely stop long enough to take stock, but 2025 deserves proper reflection; it’s definitely been a defining year for Parallel.

A Year of Big Moves – and the Biggest Move of All

When I think about the biggest achievement this year, the office move is a headline moment. We have been talking about finding the right home for Parallel for a long time, and this year, it finally happened.

What many people don’t see, of course, is just how much sits behind a commercial relocation. It isn’t as simple as collecting keys and plugging things in. It’s months of planning, legal work, negotiations, infrastructure design, IT decisions, insurance reviews, HR considerations… and then the physical work of turning an empty shell into a space that reflects who we are.

To say it’s been a learning curve would be an understatement. I’ve rented property personally, but commercial leases are a different world. Each phase revealed something new, often something we didn’t know we needed to know. But despite the complexity, the move has been one of the most positive steps we’ve ever taken.

We are still in our temporary office setup for now, and while it’s not the most conventional arrangement, it has become one of the year’s unexpected highlights. Having everyone working in the same building, even before the full move, has improved how we operate. Conversations flow more naturally, issues are resolved faster, and there’s a noticeable increase in energy and collaboration.

Once we complete the full relocation in January, that proximity will go even further. The new space gives us what we have never had before – dedicated areas for logistics, IT, our expanding sales team, and the ability to bring multiple divisions together under one roof.

It’s a building designed to support the business we are today and the one we are becoming.

The new building isn’t just more space – it’s the foundation of the next era of Parallel.

Reaching Further, Connecting More, Being Seen

Another standout theme of this year has been visibility.

2025 was the year people really started to notice Parallel –  at events, in the business community, through partnerships, and through the work we’re putting out into the world.

The expos we attended were a considerable part of that. The recent Business Show, in particular, exceeded every expectation. Seeing the reaction to our stand, hearing how many people already recognised the brand, and watching the team represent Parallel with such confidence was a proud moment.

Joining the Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce has opened doors as well, including significant conversations within the Heathrow ecosystem that will shape long-term opportunities. It’s another reminder that relationships matter, that showing up matters and being part of the local business landscape matters.

Our Partner Programme has also made significant strides this year. It’s early days, but the impact is already showing. It gives us access to new conversations, new networks, and new introductions; often into businesses that genuinely need our help but may never have found us otherwise.

Challenges That Became Turning Points

No year of real growth comes without its share of challenges, and 2025 has delivered its fair share. The restructuring of the sales team was particularly difficult. That kind of change is never easy, but it was necessary, and it’s laid the groundwork for a much stronger structure going into 2026.

The office move brought its own challenges. At times, it felt like spinning a dozen plates while juggling three more. But it also brought some invaluable lessons. It taught me that you can’t plan for everything, that you learn fastest when you’re uncomfortable, and that the right team turns every challenge into something manageable.

And it highlighted something I’ve always known but often underappreciated, that you never stop learning when you run a business. Every stage of growth brings new complexities –  whether it’s commercial property, IT systems, HR thresholds, compliance, or the insurance needs of a scaling company.

As soon as you think you’ve got it covered, something else appears. But that’s the reality of building something that’s constantly moving forward.

 A Team I Couldn’t Be Prouder Of

If there’s one constant in Parallel’s story, it’s the people. This year has been a perfect example of how strong our team really is. Everyone has stepped up, adapted, and taken responsibility.

Most importantly, everyone has played a part in moving the business towards the next level.

A big milestone this year has been strengthening our leadership team with people who bring years of industry experience, financial expertise, and a proven ability to drive businesses, giving us sharper insight, stronger infrastructure, and the right foundations to scale.

It’s not about one person; it’s about building a team with the combined experience to support the next phase of Parallel’s growth. The guidance, structure, and strategic clarity they have brought are already shaping the business we are becoming, and it puts us in a stronger position than ever as we move into 2026.

Giving Back and Looking Forward

One thing that remains deeply important to us is our commitment to giving back. Supporting charities and community organisations is part of who we are, and something I’m personally very proud of.

Our partnership with The Muscle Help Foundation continues to inspire us; the stories, the families, and the life-changing experiences they deliver remind us why this work matters.

Alongside that, we’ve continued to support local initiatives, including grassroots sports teams and community programmes that align with our values and help us make a meaningful difference beyond business.

In 2026, we will be expanding our ‘Click.Print.Donate’ initiative. Instead of supporting just one charity, we’ll open the programme to more chosen partners, while also giving customers the option to direct their contribution to a cause close to their heart. It’s a natural evolution, using our growth to increase our impact.

2026 – A Year of Major Opportunity

With the foundations laid, next year is set to be our biggest leap yet.

Document management and digital transformation will become central pillars of the business. Our logistics division will move towards full self-sustainability. We’ll continue building our IT vision, growing our Partner Programme, and strengthening our role in the business community. And, of course, the new office will give us the infrastructure we need to scale with intention instead of limitation.

In many ways, 2025 has been the warm-up – the setup, the groundwork.

2026 is where the momentum really kicks in.

Still Loving It

Despite the challenges, the pace, and the never-ending to-do list, I still get a buzz from the work we do. I still go home late because I’ve lost track of time, I still get excited when we win a contract that genuinely makes a difference to a customer, and I still feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by a team who care as much as I do.

2025 has been a year of laying foundations.

2026 will be the year we build something even bigger on top of them.
